We work with individuals of all ages, couples, groups and families who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma experiences, sexually acting out behaviours, patterns of addiction, trauma symptoms,  gender identity barriers, autism and relationship challenges.

Services can be provided face to face in Bedford, Dartmouth, Pictou, or Tatamagouche Nova Scotia. We also provide services online across Nova Scotia. 

We have a team of clinicians who have expertise in a variety of approaches including:

Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Brainspotting, Trauma Assessments, HRT letters, and Sex Therapy.

The first step is to contact maritimeptc@gmail.com and you will be matched with a therapist.

Your therapist will complete intake with you. You only have to tell your story once.

Play Therapy Training

Maritime Play Therapy Centre provides Play Therapy Certificate education that is recognized by the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. 

Teaching neurodevelopmentally informed interventions using the Powers of Play.

We began in September in 2019 and 17 students completed all three LEVELS during Covid. 

Maritime PTC offers training leading to certification as a Play Therapist recognized by the

Canadian Association for Play Therapy 

Yearly from September to June 2023 on Zoom from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Atlantic Time 

Level 1 Online the first two Wednesdays evenings of the month
